Consolidated Edison of New York (Con Edison) is an electric, gas, and steam utility that serves New York City and Westchester County. Through robust program marketing efforts, Con Edison encouraged its customers to make efficient energy choices with the help of ENERGY STAR® certified products including lighting, appliances, smart thermostats, and heat pump water heaters. Key 2022 accomplishments include:

  •  Incentivizing more than 2.9 million ENERGY STAR certified LED bulbs through a retail-coordinated lighting markdown program and the “Buying the Right Lights” marketing campaign featuring point-of-purchase signing and a comprehensive retailer resources kit.
  •  Developing and implementing an ENERGY STAR certified lighting-focused integrated marketing campaign featuring engaging video and static ads, direct mail, and email campaigns reaching all customers in its service territory.
  •  Promoting ENERGY STAR certified heat pump water heaters under the New York State Clean Heat Program including widespread retail point-of-purchase signing featuring mail-in as well as contractor-facilitated instant incentives of $1,000.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
