Bozzuto Management Company is a third-party manager of multifamily communities. Bozzuto leveraged ENERGY STAR® resources to engage with internal and external stakeholders and develop unique and innovative tools to reduce energy consumption across its managed portfolio. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 61 properties.
  • Identifying 44 energy efficiency projects across 11 properties, with an estimated return on investment above 15%, for a total cost savings of more than $800,000.
  • Conducting nine ENERGY STAR Treasure Hunts for one of its client’s buildings, assisting with project implementation, and assessing how measures would affect the buildings’ energy intensities and ENERGY STAR scores.
  • Committing to 100% renewable energy by 2040 and installing 153 electric vehicle charging stations across its portfolio.
  • Engaging its residents on a regular basis directly and through newsletters and social media on energy management strategies and behavioral changes they can easily implement to reduce their energy consumption.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
