Avanath is an investment firm that owns and operates affordable and workforce apartment communities across the United States. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

  • Achieving ENERGY STAR certification for 23 properties.
  • Increasing its whole-building energy data coverage from 53% to 76% by floor area.
  • Leveraging its online platform, known as Avanath University, to connect employees to energy efficiency trainings, meetings, and ENERGY STAR announcements.
  • Distributing an energy conservation measure survey to its properties and collecting information on ENERGY STAR certified equipment to help evaluate and plan efficiency upgrades.
  • Delivering training through its +Amplify platform, which educates property managers, senior leadership, and acquisition teams on the value of benchmarking in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager® and achieving ENERGY STAR certification.
  • Completing its inaugural corporate environmental, social, and governance report, which outlines its energy management strategies, social programs, and how it leverages ENERGY STAR tools and resources to accomplish its energy-related goals.
In 2020 ENERGY STAR and its partners helped Americans avoid more than $40 Billion in energy costs
