Arizona Public Service

Arizona Public Service (APS) is an electric utility serving central Arizona. The utility continued to promote energy efficiency through the ENERGY STAR® program 2023, saving more than 31,000 annual megawatt hours and reducing lifetime carbon emissions by 500,000 million pounds. Key 2023 accomplishments include:

• Supporting the construction of more than 7,500 ENERGY STAR certified homes and achieving a 45% market share for ENERGY STAR single-family homes across its service territory.
• Offering additional incentives to builders for prewiring electric vehicle circuits in ENERGY STAR certified homes.
• Facilitating the purchase of Level 2 ENERGY STAR electric vehicle chargers through the APS Marketplace, a resource for homebuyers to secure smart home energy products and appliances and get access to special rebates.
• Incentivizing more than 11,000 ENERGY STAR certified smart thermostats and enrolling these products in its demand response program to support its virtual power plant approach.
• Leveraging ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager® in its Energy Information Services program, contributing to 206,000 MWh of savings for its commercial customers.
