EPA has finalized the Version 1.0 specification for pool pumps. As such, the comment period is now closed. The ENERGY STAR Pool Pump Version 1.0 Specification goes into effect on February 15, 2013, at which time manufacturers may elect to have their Certification Body (CB) certify their eligible products. Manufacturers interested in joining ENERGY STAR should visit the Manufacturers page. Partners and other interested parties with questions about ENERGY STAR for pool pumps can contact manufacturers directly.
The ENERGY STAR Connect Criteria for pool pumps is currently under development. Materials related to this process are provided below. Partners and other interested parties with questions or concerns regarding these materials or the revision process can contact Christopher Kent, EPA, at Kent.Christopher@epa.gov. Laboratories may begin testing products according to the final test method published below. EPA also encourages stakeholders to provide comments regarding the final draft specification to email@example.com by January 31, 2013.
