The Version 3.0 ENERGY STAR TV products specification was finalized on February 4, 2008. As such, the comment period is now closed. Tier 1 of the new Version 3.0 specification has been in effect since November 1, 2008. International TV Power Consumption Test Methodology Workshop
The U.S. EPA, UK Market Transformation Programme and Australian Greenhouse Office are co-sponsoring an “International TV Test Procedure Workshop” in London, England on June 19, 2006, to be held in conjunction with the Energy Efficiency in Domestic Appliances and Lighting (PDF, EEDAL) conference. The workshop will be designed as a working session, where participants will discuss and share feedback on a Draft test procedure designed to measure the power consumption of all TV technologies in active mode.
