Residential Dishwashers Specification Version 5.0/5.1/5.2

The ENERGY STAR Version 5.0 specification for residential dishwashers was finalized on April 25, 2011 and will take effect on January 20, 2012. Materials related to this revision process are provided below. Final Version 5.2 ENERGY STAR Residential Dishwasher Specification – June 5, 2013

The Version 5.2 Residential Dishwasher Specification has been finalized to reflect changes to the federal standards affecting compact dishwashers.


Draft Version 5.2 ENERGY STAR Residential Dishwasher Specification – April 29, 2013

The Version 5.1 Residential Dishwasher Specification was amended to reflect changes to the federal standard affecting compact dishwashers.  EPA welcomes comments on the Version 5.2 proposed changes.  Please submit comments to appliances@energystar.gov by May 20, 2013.


Version 5.1 ENERGY STAR Residential Dishwasher Specification - February 29, 2013

The Version 5.0 Residential Dishwasher Specification has been amended to incorporate the updated U.S. Department of Energy test procedure, 10 CFR 430, Subpart B, Appendix C1.

ENERGY STAR has received test reports for approximately 60 residential dishwashers that have been qualified since Spring 2010. This file contains the average tested energy and water use for 34 standard models that either meet or are close to meeting the proposed Draft 1 V5.0 levels.
