Creating a Checklist
Raytheon's energy team partners with maintenance staff to continuously assess and respond to equipment issues at individual sites through an Energy Performance Improvement Project (EPIP). The EPIP trains employees to join energy team members in keeping an eye out for equipment, processes and lights that are left on when not in use. Additionally, work orders are currently being piloted to make these walkthrough audits easier to perform for manufacturing and lab personnel, with the goal of training employees in every building to do them regularly in conjunction with safety audits.
