Upon accomplishment of the ENERGY STAR Leaders Top Performer recognition in 2009 and 10% Improvement recognition in 2010, Crescent has maintained superior energy performance, earning Top Performer recognition in 2011. Through continued measuring and implementation of efficiency strategies, Crescent has achieved an average building energy performance rating of 82 across their portfolio, avoiding the emissions of 12,265 metric tons of CO2 which is equivalent to the annual greenhouse gas emissions from 2,405 cars. These achievements were attained through several operational and technology improvements including: new chiller equipment efficiencies, changes in control automation schedules and procedures, lighting and sensor retrofits, maximum efficiency motor replacements, variable frequency drive technology, plumbing fixture and fitting replacement, and recycling and reusing of available resources.
