The successful partnership has led to increased energy efficiency and has instilled a sustainable energy ethic throughout the district's schools.
Glendale Unified School District has been recognized as an ENERGY STAR Leaders Top Performer for achieving a portfolio-wide average energy performance score of 95 out of 100. In the 2009-2010 school year the district avoided more than $1.4 million in energy costs.
