Union Tower is a 12-story commercial high-rise in Lakewood, Colorado. The Tower has undergone numerous energy efficiency upgrades in recent years, including the completed installation of a mechanically fastened Firestone Rubber Membrane roof in 2004; the remodeling of elevators for better response and improved energy savings in 2008; and the complete overhaul of the structure’s two 300-ton chillers in 2007.
More recently, a new building automation system and lighting retrofit, both completed in 2009, have already proven to support more efficient operations at Union Tower.
