Owned and managed by Hines, Mountain View Corporate Center III is one of four buildings in the Mountain View Corporate Center campus and comprises 120,000 square feet of the 461,000-square-foot total. Located at the entrance to the Interlocken Office Park in the Broomfield submarket, Mountain View Corporate Center was developed in stages between 1999 and 2001, with Building III completed in 2000. Its design, by the firm of Oz Architects, emphasizes expansive windows of reflective glass set within an exterior of warm grey and cream precast concrete. In addition to convenient access to the U.S. 36 corridor between Denver and Boulder, Mountain View Corporate Center offers ample on-site surface parking and a pleasant, landscaped setting.
Mountain View Corporate Center III earned the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance through energy-efficient elements of the original design, select infrastructure retrofits, and active management of its energy consumption. For example, windows in the building offer high-efficiency reflective panes and insulated glazing--helping to retain heat in the winter, and deflect thermal gain from high-altitude summer sunshine. Retrofits included the installation of variable frequency drives on rooftop units, allowing them to run at levels closely linked to actual demand. Finally, a digital building automation system gives property managers the ability to monitor and set start and stop times and setbacks for HVAC components--keeping tenants comfortable and controlling energy consumption in the winter and summer alike.
