ENERGY STAR Labeled Building Profile
Hines Warner Center - Bldg. H
21301 Burbank Blvd
Woodland Hills, CA 91367
Hines is the owner and property manager for LNR Warner Center, a five-building, campus-style property in the thriving Woodland Hills/Warner Center submarket of Los Angeles, CA. The campus, designed by Poliquin Kellogg Design Group, consists of five main buildings, totaling some 808,000 square feet. 21301 Burbank Boulevard, completed in 2003, is a five-story, 179,000-square-foot building within LNR Warner Center. Like the other buildings in the campus, 21301 Burbank Boulevard is distinguished by a natural stone lobby and other features that harmonize with the lush landscaping of the Warner Center campus.
21301 Burbank Boulevard earned the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance first and foremost as a result of original building design and specifications that emphasize energy efficiency, an issue brought to the fore in the severe California energy crunch that coincided with the initial development. Light-colored exterior masonry, reflective dual-pane windows, and high-efficiency HVAC systems were all part of the original design. In addition, 21301 Burbank Boulevard operates with an ALC building automation system including automated lighting controls, start optimization, and direct digital controls (DDC) serving the HVAC system. Such features help to ensure that the building's energy consumption is closely aligned with actual demand. They also give property managers the ability to shed load during times of peak system demand.
Hines has been recognized with multiple ENERGY STAR Sustained Excellence and Partner of the Year awards. For a summary of the firm's participation in the ENERGY STAR program and other sustainability information, visit www.hines.com/sustainability.
