Dayton Warehouse, a 156,000-square-foot facility in Dayton, Ohio, is the home of supply chain and logistics for Daikin McQuay. Adopting a team mentality to reduce emissions, the people at Daikin McQuay improved the warehouse’s energy performance by strategically implementing energy-saving and cost-effective improvements to the building. Thanks to the energy efficiency efforts made by staff members, the Dayton facility has reduced its greenhouse gas emissions by more than 25 percent since 2010, illustrating the company’s continuing commitment to sustainability.

Daikin McQuay employees implemented strategic changes in order to make the Dayton Warehouse run more efficiently. They installed programmable thermostats and motion sensors in offices and conference rooms. The company also updated the warehouse heating system; painted the ceilings white to increase illumination; added motion sensor T5 lighting in all warehouse isles; and replaced dock seals to reduce loss of heat.
