Developed and managed by Hines, 1100 Louisiana is a 55-story, 1.3-million-square-foot office tower located in the heart of downtown Houston's energy corridor. Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, 1100 Louisiana is covered in polished Spanish Rose granite with rose-colored reflective windows. A series of stepped bays in the south and east curtain walls provide additional corner offices to the upper-story floor plans. Water features will be the centerpiece of the Gensler-designed entry plaza, which occupies nearly a quarter of the block. Other amenities include more than 45,000 square feet of retail space and a 2,350-car parking garage, accessible through downtown Houston's underground tunnel system.

1100 Louisiana earned the ENERGY STAR for superior energy performance in part from original building features, such as reflective dual-pane glass, as well as from subsequent retrofits to energy-consuming infrastructure. Lighting throughout the building was retrofitted with T-8 fluorescent bulbs with electronic ballasts, and occupancy sensors are used in a significant portion of the building's offices and common spaces, which help to reduce the unnecessary use of lights.
