Developed and managed by Hines, and designed by the Dallas architectural firm of BOKA Powell, Computer Associates Plaza was completed in November of 2001. The seven story office building was constructed in an agreement with Computer Associates International, Inc. The 228,363 square foot class A buildings amenities are a full service cafeteria with outside patio dining, a complete child day care center with outside play area and a fully equipped fitness center. The building has a state of the art media center with hugh pull down projection screens, several big screen tv's and theater seating. Clients and employee of Computer Associates travel from all parts of the country to view computer software presentations in the media center or attend product training in one of the many class rooms. In addition to these on site amenities, a large number of restaurants, hotels and retail stores are located within a five minute drive of the building.
Computer Associates Plaza earned the ENERGY STAR as a result of the implementation of innovative highly efficient equipment. The custom built roof top air handler units are equipped with variable frequency drives and incorporate the Ruskin IAQ-50 outside air volume control. All of the Nailer fan powered VAV boxes are equipped with high efficiency variable speed control motors. Site lighting and garage lighting is controlled by an operator pre-defined time schedule. All of the HVAC equipment is monitored and controlled by the Johnson Control Metasys BCMS control system.
