The 325 West Huron Building is a more than 132,400-square-foot concrete loft building located in the heart of Chicago's River North neighborhood, one of Chicago's most popular business and entertainment districts. The property is convenient to many of the city's most famous restaurants and art galleries, and is easily accessible to both the interstate and public transportation.

 

325 West Huron is managed and leased by Urban Innovations (UI), a fully integrated real estate investment firm. Built in 1920, this loft building has been transformed into modern office suites, each offering tenant-controlled air conditioning, advanced telecommunications and Internet systems, operable windows, two high-speed passenger elevators, and additional storage spaces. The building completed capital improvements that included extensive masonry and building envelope work, a new roof, lighting upgrades in the restrooms and corridors, burner replacements on boilers, and Danfoss thermostatically operated radiator valves.

 

Urban Innovations also encourages tenants to incorporate sustainable practices into their business operations. In 2010, Urban Innovations launched a tenant engagement and education campaign called UI Change It Up to inspire environmentally responsible improvements in the areas of energy conservation, waste reduction, cleaning, transportation choices, and outreach. Urban Innovations also participated in the year-long Chicago Green Office Challenge and held monthly tenant education meetings about the fundamentals of sustainability.
