Built in 1929, 75 Federal Street is a 21-story high rise consisting of 269,075 square feet of office and retail space in the downtown Financial District of Boston. 101 Federal Street a 31-story high rise that was built and connected to 75 Federal Street in 1989 and consists of 670,266 square feet of office and retail space.

Our green initiative team for this facility includes our LEED certified project manager, LEED certified general manager, and the building's operations manager, as well as our support staff in the home office. Building ownership also has a full green initiative team that supports us, as well as all their facilities. We began our Green Initiative program for this facility in 2007 and with the support of our building owner (Transwestern Investment) and our management team (Lincoln Property Company), we have greatly reduced the facilities' overall utility consumption.

We have conducted multiple tenant and base building upgrades during the past few years. These consisted of lighting system upgrades, HVAC retrofits, installation of new high efficiency motors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and the installation of a new green roofing system.

Additional green efforts were taken as we started a single stream recycling program for the building. We have also changed all our paper products and cleaning products to green products and as technology improves, we will do the same with our plastic products.
