Super 8 Ukiah Hotel is the only ENERGY STAR certified hotel in Ukiah, CA. The hotel provides an eco-friendly, relaxed environment where guests can enjoy several energy-efficient amenities. Recently renovated, the two-story Ukiah Hotel gives guests the opportunity to enjoy the luxuries of home while helping to reduce energy consumption. Ukiah Hotel offers the “Super Start Breakfast” with 100 percent organic coffee and tea and features an outdoor saltwater pool and heated spa. The guest rooms are fully furnished with ENERGY STAR qualified products, including coffee makers, refrigerators, hair dryers, televisions with premium channels, and more. Business travelers can stay connected to their work using desks in their rooms and a business center equipped with high-speed internet access.
Guests have access to an outdoor heated spa and an on-site Henny Penny Restaurant. Super 8 Ukiah also offers pet-friendly accommodations and rooms specially designed for your comfort. Most of the products used at the hotel are bio-degradable, recyclable, organic, or otherwise eco-friendly. Super 8 Ukiah performs efficient waste disposal, energy- and water-saving strategies, recycling throughout the property, responsible purchasing policies, and many designated eco-initiatives. Additionally, the hotel implements recycling programs and a linen reuse program. All rooms are cleaned with Ionator, a cleaning system using ionized water and eco-friendly chemicals provided by Ecolab. All lighting, laundry equipment, ice machines, and printers are ENERGY STAR qualified, and the hotel pool is treated with a salinization solution to eliminate harmful chemicals.
Other features that are rigorously implemented include programmable timers and occupational sensors for light systems; the use of old newspapers for cleaning; double-paned, low-emissivity windows; employee carpooling; proper disposal of fluorescent light bulbs, batteries, and ballasts; and further precautions to ensure energy efficiency.
The latest addition to the hotel is an on-site AeroVironment electric vehicle charging station providing guests with free charging service.
