The ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston plant in Boardman, Ore. is located in the heart of one of most prime vegetable-growing regions in the U.S. ? the Pacific Northwest. It is one of the most versatile plants in the Lamb Weston fleet and produces a wide range of frozen potato products, from french fries, seasoned fries, Twisters, wedge and formed products and their own Alexia Brand, all of which are distributed to restaurants and retail customers worldwide.

The Boardman West plant was originally built in 1972 by Gourmet Foods and was acquired by Lamb Weston 1987. The Boardman East plant was built in 1996 by Logan International, and was purchased by Lamb Weston in 2006.

ConAgra Foods Lamb Weston seizes every opportunity to preserve and protect vital natural resources by managing energy and water usage, and by reducing waste and pollution. Boardman efficiency features include the following: 

?         Implementation of multiple energy reducing projects resulting in millions of kWh?s saved each year.

?         Daily benchmarking and tracking of water, natural gas, and power use to ensure responsible use of resources.

?         Equipment automation to conserve energy during line-breaks, assuring equipment runs only when needed.

?         Extensive packaging reuse and recycling programs to aid in reducing costs and landfill.

The Boardman plant earned the ENERGY STAR plant certification for the first time in 2011.
