The Honda of America Manufacturing plant, located in Marysville, OH (MAP), is the longest-running Honda auto plant in the United States, beginning operations nearly 30 years ago. MAP is a 3.9-million square-foot facility that is capable of producing 444,000 vehicles per year and currently employs approximately 4,400 associates.

In addition to producing both the four-cylinder and V6 models of the Accord Sedan and Coupe, MAP is the sole manufacturing site for the Acura TL luxury Sedan. Vehicles built at MAP provide transportation for customers in more than 100 countries around the world.

In 2013 the plant’s old centralized steam system was replaced with a new heating system that uses natural gas and electricity, generating savings in the amount of 828 metric tons of CO2.

The plant also began use of a sophisticated real-time energy monitoring system that allows associates to identify areas where energy use can be eliminated during non-use periods.

MAP earned its eighth consecutive ENERGY STAR certification in 2013.
