The Honda of America Manufacturing plant, located in Marysville, OH (MAP), is the longest-running Honda auto plant in the United States, beginning operations nearly 30 years ago. MAP is a 3.9-million square-foot facility that is capable of producing 444,000 vehicles per year and currently employs approximately 4,400 associates.

In addition to producing both the four-cylinder and V6 models of the Accord Sedan and Coupe, MAP is the sole manufacturing site for the Acura TL luxury Sedan. Vehicles built at MAP provide transportation for customers in more than 100 countries around the world.

In 2014, the plant continued to discover new and innovative ways to manage its energy use, including the increased use of LED lighting throughout the plant, the use of water-heated dock heaters and the adoption of associate-driven energy projects such as the Micro Hydro project, which captures falling water from the roof and channels it into a turbine that creates power.

MAP is the first Honda facility to use hydrogen fuel-cell power to drive a percentage of its tow motors and forklifts, reducing emissions and improving efficiency.

MAP earned its ninth consecutive ENERGY STAR certification in 2014.
