Oklahoma City (Central Oklahoma) Clean Air Committee

The ACOG Clean Air Committee, which includes staff from the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments (ACOG), City of Oklahoma City, Central Oklahoma Transportation and Parking Authority (Metro Transit), Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ), OGE Energy Corp., Chesapeake Energy, Greater Oklahoma City Chamber, and Redbud Energy, monitors the level of ozone and carbon monoxide in the Central Oklahoma region's air and implements the Clean Air Alert Day program.. The Clean Air Committee notifies local media and calls attention to Alert days - when weather conditions may be conducive for high readings of ozone or carbon monoxide. The Committee also conducts research on air quality policy and handles media and public information regarding air quality issues in the Greater Oklahoma City region.
