Western New York Energy $mart Communities

The WNY Energy $mart Communities is a program from Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County by working under contract as an independent contractor to the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority(NYSERDA) with the Energy $mart Communities(SM) program. Community Coordinators match energy projects with available NYSERDA funding opportunities; Educate homeowners, community leaders, business owners, and the public on the benefits of energy efficiency and renewable resources; Provide assistance to energy-related businesses and entrepreneurs through initiatives that increase awareness of local and NYSERDA business assistance services available to early stage, clean energy businesses; Build support for energy-efficiency and renewable energy projects.
