Adelaide City Council

Adelaide City Council is the Capital City Council of South Australia, Australia. The City of Adelaide is the State's Central Business District and education and cultural center. Adelaide City Council has committed, through its Carbon Neutral Council Action Plan, to reducing its own carbon emissions by 60% 2012 including through enabling power management features of its network and procurement of energy efficient IT equipment. Other Action Plan projects focus on reducing emissions through the purchase of renewable energy, the establishment of solar panels and co-generation plants and installing energy efficient street, traffic and facilities lighting. Council is also working actively with its community to assist in reduction of community emissions through incentives for residents and business and improving cycling facilities and information in the City.
