City of Aurora Illinois
The City of Aurora, Illinois has adopted a Sustainability Plan with the goal of improving our quality of life by considering the long-term significance of our everyday decisions. As a community measuring over 46 square miles and more than an estimated 180,000 residents, the health, safety and general welfare of Auroras inhabitants and habitats are essential to maintaining our high quality of life. To take a comprehensive approach to sustainability, our plans include goals to reduce our carbon footprint as well as increase energy efficiency across various sectors.
