Andrews AFB was established in 1947 and is located approximately five miles southeast of Washington, D.C. The main Base comprises 4,346 acres of land in southern Prince George's County. The 316th Wing is the host wing to more than 60 separate organizations including, among others, units from the Air National Guard, Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force Reserve Command. The total population living and working on Andrews AFB, including partner units, is approximately 17,000 persons.
