Oklahoma's oldest and third largest institution of higher learning, the University of Central Oklahoma is a thriving, metropolitan university, leading the way to bright, successful futures for our students and community. Through its quality academic programs, innovative leadership development opportunities and nurturing campus environment, the University strives to make each student's UCO experience a transformative one. Campus-wide sustainability is just one of the many ways UCO achieves its goals. UCO already does a lot to conserve energy, maximize resources and protect our environment. For starters, UCO operates on 100% wind power and produces bio-diesel fuel on-site for campus vehicles. UCO has also installed energy-efficient heating and air systems, as well as motion sensors for lighting, and has implemented a campus-wide recycling program. These efforts have garnered local, regional and national recognition, including being named to the EPA's "Green Power Club."
