EPA - Region 5

EPA's Region 5's Headquarters is located in the Metcalfe Federal Building in Chicago, Illinois and oversees EPA operations in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, and 35 Tribal Nations. The regional office employs approximately 1,500 people. The Agency has implemented a number of programs and procedures to minimize its environmental impact. The office building features green attributes including green power, rooftop photovoltaic system and is an ENERGY STAR Labeled building. The mission of the Environmental Protection Agency is to protect human health and the environment. Since 1970, EPA has been working for a cleaner, healthier environment for the American people.
