Registration for the 2013 ENERGY STAR National Building Competition: Battle of the Buildings is now closed.
Join us on Tuesday, August 20th for the official launch of the 2013 competition! Find out about this year’s competitors, see their starting weights, and pick your early favorites for who might be the next Biggest Energy Loser.
May the best building or tenant win!
The fourth season of EPA’s “Biggest Loser”-style Battle of the Buildings is back with a twist. For the first time ever, commercial tenants can also compete! So whether your organization occupies a whole building or part of one, you can see how you stack up against others across the nation.
Plus, there are great new ways to win. As always, EPA will award the biggest energy loser, or the building or space that reduces its energy use the most. Back by popular demand, any building or space that achieves a 20% reduction or more will also be eligible for recognition.
And EPA is adding two new categories this year! First, EPA will spotlight the top tenant with the greatest savings. Make sure to register as a tenant when you sign up! And second, are you a communications superstar? Then you could be EPA’s first MVP – Most Valuable Participant. To compete, you’ll fill out a quick n’ easy scorecard at midpoint and final announcement, then see how your communications activities measure up against other competitors.
Last year, competitors who reduced energy consumption saved an average of $25,000 and reduced their energy use by 8 percent! Feeling inspired yet? Register now! Or click below to learn more and recruit others.
