The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is pleased to announce that Advanced Clothes Dryers has been chosen as one of the ENERGY STAR Emerging Technology 2013 Award categories. According to EPA’s preliminary estimates, these advanced clothes dryer technologies could reduce CO2 emissions by 32 – 34% when compared with standard electric models.
EPA has developed eligibility requirements for advanced clothes dryers. Manufacturers with dryer technologies meeting these eligibility requirements may begin submitting necessary documentation for EPA review. 2013 Award winners will be announced once applications are approved by EPA and products are available for U.S. sale. Applications and other information requests can be sent to email@example.com.
