PLENARY SESSION: APPLIANCE MARKET UPDATE

The U.S Department of Energy will discuss the 2007 criteria changes for clothes washers and dishwashers, provide an overview of the ENERGY STAR market share for appliances, and identify new products that may be included in the ENERGY STAR program in the near future. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) will follow with an overview on the web-based ENERGY STAR Training Center (ESTC).

LESSONS FROM THE FIELD: BEST PRACTICES IN APPLIANCE PROGRAMS

Energy Efficiency Program Sponsors (EEPS) take a variety of approaches toward designing, operating, and measuring the success of Appliance Programs. This session will examine three programs from the Northeast, New York, and the Northwest to determine what works well in promoting energy efficient appliances.

BREAKOUT SESSIONS: MANUFACTURER/RETAILER

Manufacturers and retailers host the breakout sessions with EEPS rotating in regional groups between breakout meeting rooms.

The purpose of the breakout sessions is to build on the Marketing Summit from the previous day by allowing each EEPS region and the manufacturer or retailer to meet one-on-one. This format provides a dedicated time in which the manufacturer and the EEPS partner can discuss opportunities for collaboration in a more targeted manner.
