11:30 - 12:00 PM Overview of ENERGY STAR Central Air-Conditioner and Air-Source Heat pump Specification Revision
  The new federal standard for central air-conditioners and air-source heat pumps will take effect in January 2006. EPA is considering potential changes to the ENERGY STAR specification for these products, and is evaluating new equipment requirements as well as quality installation components. This session will introduce the options being considered by EPA, outline the expected schedule, and identify opportunities for partner input.

1:15 - 2:30 PM Structured Discussion Part I: Equipment Specifications
  EPA is investigating opportunities to update the efficiency specifications for CAC and ASHP, possibly addressing SEER, EER, HSPF, and/or other equipment requirements. EPA will present options under consideration and solicit input from participants.

3:00 - 4:30 PM Structured Discussion Part II: Addressing Quality Installation and Verification
When evaluating potential changes to the CAC and ASHP specifications, EPA is considering opportunities to capture efficiency gains through proper installation. EPA will present options and challenges for incorporating installation and verification requirements, and solicit input from participants.
