DOE is developing criteria for integral LED lamps, defined as a lamp with LEDs, an integrated LED driver, and an ANSI standardized base designed to connect to the branch circuit via an ANSI standardized lamp holder/socket.
Partners and other interested parties who would like to participate in this process are encouraged to send their contact information to ssl@drintl.com to be added to the distribution list for specification development updates. This Web page will be updated periodically as new information becomes available.
DOE is providing a third stakeholder comment period, to address the life and reliability testing requirements detailed in this third draft. Please provide comments no later than October 16, 2009 to ssl@energystar.gov. DOE anticipates publication of the final criteria in early November, with an effective date for the Integral LED Lamp criteria 270 days later (approximately August 2010).
The U.S. Department of Energy is pleased to release the second draft ENERGY STAR criteria for integral LED lamps. DOE invites stakeholder review and comments on these draft criteria through June 26, 2009. Please direct all comments to richard.karney@ee.doe.gov and ssl@drintl.com.
