Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR is a national campaign sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) encouraging Americans to join with millions of others in taking small, individual steps that make a big difference in the fight against climate change. Over the past 2 years, the Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR Campaign Exhibit House has traveled to 9 cities to host 11 events and the journey continues in 2010. At the events, EPA and its partners invite the public to interact with educational displays and learn how ENERGY STAR products and practices can help save energy at home, at work, and in their communities.
Visitors can take a room-by-room tour of the exhibit, including a living room/home office, kitchen, and kid's room, and in a home improvement area that highlights proper air and duct sealing and insulation. Visitors are also encouraged to take the ENERGY STAR Pledge to join in the fight against climate change and inspire others to do the same.
Are you planning your own public education event? The colorful, interactive Change the World Booth featuring the engaging elements of the Campaign Exhibit House is now available at no cost to partners and pledge drivers that want to conduct an event. The Change the World, Start with ENERGY STAR Event Toolkit offers materials, messaging, and downloadable templates to promote energy efficiency at your event.
