We are joining with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and asking architects to get in the Race. It's easy and there's no cost to participate. Send your new construction projects that achieve Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR to EPA to be counted in the Race.

These projects are among the nation's top 25% for saving energy in commercial buildings. EPA will recognize organizations from the winning region, all projects, and all A/E firms at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Convention in Denver, CO, June 2013.

We're Spreading the Word: Join the 2013 Race to Denver
[Org/Company Name] is promoting the Race to Denver to help the [Region Name] win it! We're asking our members to join in and get EPA recognition for achieving Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR on your projects.

You Can Get Started Now: Tools for the Race
Use EPA's Target Finder, a no-cost online tool, to see if your projects achieve Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR. The Architect of Record may submit all projects that have completed the Construction Documents phase. Check project requirements on the "Apply" page link below.

We're Reaching for the Top: Goals for the Race
All projects you submit that are located in the [Region Name] will count toward our total. Three U.S. regions battling it out to see which will have the most Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR projects are: East Coast, Big Easy Central, and Wild West.

Follow the Race on the ENERGY STAR Website and social media for updates.

We Want to be the First to Cross the Finish Line: Complete the Race

  • Our region wins the Race if we submit the most projects to EPA
  • Submit project applications for Designed to Earn the ENERY STAR:
    Postmark to EPA by May 10, 2013
