Partners communicate publicly about their energy achievements to show their commitment to operate sustainably and to protect the environment.
Below are examples of ENERGY STAR partners sharing their successes. Use these ideas to help you build your communication strategy, promote ENERGY STAR and your energy efficiency efforts.
Example 1: Announcing achievements in energy management
Hanesbrands Inc., an ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year/ Sustained Excellence award winner, messages their recognition in consumer and wholesaler catalogs.
Saint-Gobain’s Verallia North America container glass plant located in Milford, Massachusetts, recipient of the ENERGY STAR plant certification, held a celebration at the plant inviting a number of state and local officials to attend.
General Motors created a website with a video to explained what their Delta Lansing Plant did to improve the site’s energy efficiency. Watch the YouTube video.
Eastman Chemical Company issued a press release announcing one of their buildings earning the ENERGY STAR certification.

Example 2: Promoting ENERGY STAR and energy management as a helpful resource

Intertape Polymer Corporation addressed the Virginia Governor’s Conference on Energy to share how their partnership with ENERGY STAR has helped them to improve.
