Public Notices

EPA is committed to making the ENERGY STAR program transparent, inclusive, and consistent.  Throughout the process of developing specifications for products, new homes, and commercial buildings, EPA has established a set of public comment procedures and regularly posts program updates.  The foundation of the ENERGY STAR program is public-private partnerships and public comment is an integral component. Feedback can be provided to the program at any time via our help desk.  Information on current and past initiatives is available as follows:

Product Specification Partner Notices.  This page provides partners with timely information about new product specifications and revisions, partnership requirements, comment periods for specification updates, and programmatic decisions for sunsetting products.

Product Partner Announcements.  This page provides links to program updates and newsletters. Here is where partners can learn about upcoming stakeholder meetings, webinars, collaborative opportunities and promotions.

Residential New Construction Program Feedback. This page contains information about Residential New Construction program initiatives that are currently available for stakeholder feedback.  An archive of previous stakeholder feedback periods, stakeholder comments received, EPA’s response to comments, finalized policy announcements, and associated materials is also provided.

Commercial Building Program Public Notices.  This page shows initiatives from the Commercial Buildings program that are currently open for public input. A listing of past public notices is also available.
